You need at least a 4ft tank with some current and lots of live plants and sand bottom.

Yeah Lamps can be very deceiving cause the K rating is not given from an underwater point of view and watts per gallon doesn't really work halogen would be extremely hot you sure what kind of lamp it is.

If anyone knows of some sales on T8 lamps let me know last year happened to hit one at Big Als but haven't seen any yet this year.

Try filling your bath tub the day before a water change and throw a small airstone in it works like a charm even better if you have a jetted tub.

fill my jetted tub with hot water and turn the jets on the day before 3 times in 24hrs and siphon down too tanks works like a chrm.
