Slough Shark
The sand is in the tank! Heres the Eclipse System 6 Tank that was overpriced IMO :pff: (it's the tank for the mantis shrimp and the sand is still settling) This is the 20 Gal tank that was in all of my previous pics (also really full of still settling sand) And here's the two of em together in my room! More updates coming soon! Taylor

Slough Shark
Here's an update! The sand is still settling, but it should be much clearer in a little bit. I have been unable to get rid of the Pleco, 6" Common Pleco and NO one will take him!!!! The aquascaping of the tank will change alot once I can get two of the three filters the heck out of there (just to pick up silt). Thats all for now! Heres a pic of the tank (latest) This is the 6 Gal SW tank (I know it is irrelevant, but it's here anyway) Isn't that quite a lot of sand in the smaller tank? Its only 2" Taylor Edited January 14, 2007 by Slough Shark

Sam Chicklets
Just out of curiosity are you still going with a biotope? It looks like 2 corys in your tank.
Slough Shark
Sure am, and those sure are tow Bronze Cories and one albino, I've also got my pleco in there. Those fish will be in there just until I can get some sand into my sister's tank. I'll put her goldfish in the tank with my fish also. When the sand settles, the cories and goldfish go back in her tank, and by then the pleco will have grown a bit more, then maybe some one will take him  The list is in my sig for now. Slough Shark
LOL, I did!!! But guess what? My sister changed her mind about changing her subsrate today, now I have a huge pail full of wet sand, a $20 heater and a brand new $90 Hagen master test kit!!!!! :grr:  :grr:  :grr: I'm not made of money!!!! :pff:
Sam Chicklets
Well it's not a total write off you can use the test kit for your self.
Slough Shark
Indeed, I am waiting right now for the color to develop in the Nitrate test tube If u need an idea of how settled the sand is in the tank, have a peek at my pleco photo in the daily photos section
Slough Shark
UPDATE!!! I am just about ready to start adding more fish. It looks quite naked with just three! I still need to get rid of that pleco. The sand is fully settled, so are the fish. I am waiting on Java Moss (probably the only plant I add) and I am going to start looking around for Black Kuhli Loaches very soon. The current Plan: Mekong River (Thailand) Biotope (20 Gal): Stocking: 3 Betta Splendens (1 Male, 2 Females) 1 Weather Loach 5 Glass Catfish 4 Java (Black Kuhli) Loaches Plants: Java Moss Substrate: Light Brown Aquarium Sand Decoration: Driftwood (x2) Filtration: AquaClear 70 I do wonder though if I should have one SAE instead of Five Glass Cats, because although the SAE will get quite large, the Glass Cats would probably be more of a Bioload full grown than the SAE would. Any Ideas???
Qattarra
I'll take the pleco Sue
Sam Chicklets
I do wonder though if I should have one SAE instead of Five Glass Cats What will you be using for algae control?
Slough Shark
I do wonder though if I should have one SAE instead of Five Glass Cats What will you be using for algae control? I'm not sure I understand? The SAE will take care of the hair algae, and the overfiltration should get rid of the nasty stuff taht collect on my glass (of course supplemented with my own elbow grease). I'm pretty sure glass cats don't get rid of algae if that what you mean.
