I've been doing research on these. They like a planted tank with lots of hiding places. I'll be housing these with some kribs,some rams, some barbs and maybe tetras. Here is a pic of an adult male in brood coloration. I think it's stunning. The author of the pic says it doesn't do him justice. Man I hope mine get to those colours WOW :D

Big tank? Kribs, Rams & Acara all live in the same part of the tank... might make things difficult when they decide to start breeding. :o

Those guys stay smallish right? Do they breed in our tap water levels?

My info says 6 to 8 cm soft to medium hard water ph 6.0 to 6.8, and temp 25 to 30 for breeding.

Did you get them from Henry Sue?

I bought 4 on saturday and a couple look like they are ready to breed already.
