FishBrain
This guy has been in my tank for a while now and I cannot find anything about this kind of fish. doesn't help that I dont know where to start other than the fact he has no lips or a hairlip. Here are two pics of him. I dont care about the leleupi, convicts, or goldfish. Cons and goldfish are hitting the freezer tonight when I get home, and I am wondering if this guy should go with them. Thanks
Vallisneria
It kind of looks like a Labeotropheus of some kind becuase of its "nose". I checked through the species profiles at cichlid-forum and found this guy that looks similar http://www.cichlid-forum.com/profiles/species.php?id=2301
Doc_Polit
It is definitely a Labeotropheus. How large is this fish? He looks too stocky to be Labeo Trewavasae so Val is likely right.......Labeo Fuelleborni of some kind. They are not easy to find locally. I would look to sell or give away before freezing him. FishBrain
OH yes that is him. THANK YOU!!!! He is around 6" and is an aggressive little bugger!! He will not be getting frozen, right away. I only have the male the female with him is not of his kind and she has held a few times. *Anyone have a female and would like the male to go with? **I noticed the female has the same type of "nose" in the pictures so I know the woman with him is not of his breed so she is def. frozen when I get home.** Edited April 19, 2007 by FishBrain
Kevin
Hey Matt, are you downsizing? Do you still have the male festae for me? If it is urgent to get him out, maybe we can find someone to hold him for me. Kevin
FishBrain
I think I have to downsize. Cant get the energy bill to drop under $450/month and that hurts! Not sure if I am going to sell the tank or just shut it down for a while. The festae is definatly a female tho. Looking at her now.
TheGr8Blade
Cant get the energy bill to drop under $450/month Mine has been around the $400.00 mark also. I turn on the lights at 9 am or so and turn them off at 7-730 pm. Turned up the heat a little so the heaters don't come on as much. This month my bill was $231.45 WOOHOO!
