best filter setup for 150 gal

i'm new at big tank's so help me if you can ,i'm getting a 150 gal fresh water tank ,but need to buy a filter system for it ,so send me your ideas .

i'm thinking of getting live plants and sand,is this a good idea for a comunty tank?

I ran a 135 planted tank for over a year with an FX5 canister. IMO, a canister (or two) is the way to go if you're adding CO2. If you don't plan on CO2, then the cheapest filter is probably a sump system.

Tight budget and if you don't have a overstocked tank, go with 2 Aquaclear 110 and a powerhead of some sort. I have these on all my tanks and they run forever and you can put all kinds of media in them.

I agree. Or three Aquaclear 110s if you don't get the powerhead.
