bigfishal
Those are beautiful starfish but they are next to impossible to keep in captivity typically you would be lucky if you could keep them alive for 6 months the longest I have heard one kept is about 1 year. They come in a variety of colors not just pink but also I have seen green/purple/red and also a mix of all colors together in one starfish! H22_TURBO
marine aquaria has one, very neat starfish. everywhere I read they are very hard to keep and should be left in the ocean

bigfishal
Totally agree they should be left in the ocean. The only reason they live in captivity for 6 months or so is that they can live without food for that long and they wont eat in captivity so sadly to say once they leave the ocean they have had there last meal
JLake
That's sad about the no eating. Poor thing.

Murminator
Since I cannot view the pic at work I am assuming it is a Crinoidea starfish which shoule be left in the ocean. They do not survive well in captivity they are found between 100-500 feet and are heavy filter feeders they like dirty high flow water
