Midnight Coryies

Midnight cories are a color form of Corydoras Schultzei developed in Germany

I have both Corydoras Schultzei (black) and a dark colored strain of Corydoras Aeneus (Bronze)

The Schultzei are a more velvet black and their fins are or will turn black as they age, the bronze have a red or orange tinge to their fins.

The Schultzei will retain their black color on a light bottom colored tank, the bronze's black color will fade out.

The Bronze will grow larger while the Schultzei will be smaller and more elongated in shape.

I have found that Schultzei are also much more timid. Hope this helps

One of the Schultzei grow out tanks ( white eyes caused by the flash)

A couple of the dark Bronze adults. They will be even darker on a black bottom tank but would fade to their regular color in the grey bottom tank above

Sorry about the poor quality pictures but I'm still on dial-up
