Ok thanks, I was just wondering because it looked like there was some "noise/graininess" in photo #3 in the shadow under the rock. Looking more closely though, I think it's because the shadow is cast onto the sand that it has that look :rolleyes:

Nice catch by the way, it's not often you get the chance to photograph fish while spawning!

Not sure, I've still got to get used to it. The minimum focusing distance is about 1.5ft vs. the 11.4 inches for the 18-55mm kit lens. I find it very difficult to fill the frame with the fish because of it, all these tropheus shots were crops.
