hobbithall
Not sure where to post this question, but I figured folks in this thread would have an answer. I have a couple freshwater community tanks, and was using a liquid algicide from Big Al's to help keep the black algae under control. Last time I went to buy it, I was told algicides have become illegal in Canada. Can someone confirm whether this is true, and if not, advise where I might go to purchase some? jvision
Excel and/or Metricide work as algecides; so does Hydrogen Peroxide.
SomethingIsFishy
I purchased Metricide 14 from Vereburn online and picked it up from their warehouse. Don't use the activator. Dilute with distilled water on a 1:1 ratio.
Iceturf
Where would a person get Metricide in Edmonton?
jvision
Valumed 6410 - 117ave 780-454-1899 Call first to be sure they have some in. I believe a 4L jug was around $
Bruno
would you dose a non planted tank (like a african cichlid tank with only sand and stones) with metricide simply for the algae control?
