finaddict
this fish is never relaxed... he is the most aggressive/dominant always looks like this... red top rebra??? mixed with who know's what???
RDFISHGUY
How big? Looks like an afra of some kind. Much too lightly colored to be an adult cobue but does resemble an immature male. A better head shot would help rule out any tropheops species
African_Fever
Definitely not an afra. Looks like a Met. hajomaylandi, though the dorsal is a bit too dark. A few more pics would help. Without knowing anything for certain, I'd guess hybrid though (but between different Met's anyways). nevchewy
I can tell you what its not... its not a PS Saulosi... I'm not sure what it is but i'm thinking its a hybrid... Where did you get it from? What was it sold as? Did you grow it out? Was it ever just yellow and then start becoming blue? not sure if any of these questions will help with the ID but it may lead to an answer... nev
African_Fever
Comparing it to pics in Ad's book, looks to be some kind of Metriaclima sp. 'black dorsal', though without having bought it as anything it's impossible to ID for sure, and could just as well be a hybrid.
