DAlberta
What do YOU think is the ugliest fish ever? Dave
Vapor
According to my wife it is the albino plecos I bought at the auction.

Nandopsis
I imagine Val ment Red parrot cichlids, and i would say that they definately have to be in the running.
Vallisneria
Yes, those hybrid(jellybean, red, blood, etc) parrot cichlids, not Hoplarchus psittacus
dunl
I'd say maybe an Atlantic cobbler (Blepharis something-or-other?) that we used to bring up in the lobster traps back in PEI, or maybe one of those red rock eels with the bulging warts all over their head and body. The cobbler resembled a mating gone wrong with a sea urchin and a perch, and looked something like this: However, a monkfish would probably be coming pretty close in the race as well.... On the ocean floor..... Extremely pissed off on the boat deck.... You know Rudy is going to want one of each of these, right? :ph43r: Edited April 9, 2006 by dunl
Vapor
How big is that thing. It really does look menacing.

Tanker
I'll be shot for this, but those goldfish with the eyes on the bubbles, and the ones with their heads all distended and bumpy like a brain or mashed potatoes. I can't even stand to be in the same sections of the LFS where they keep them; makes my skin crawl.
DCallele
I think that this link may have already been posted on the site before but check out: http://www.afsc.noaa.gov/race/media/photo_...h_by_family.htm Almost every fish off of this page is seriously ugly... especially the lumpsuckers at http://www.afsc.noaa.gov/race/media/photo_..._lumpsucker.htm and http://www.afsc.noaa.gov/race/media/photo_..._lumpsucker.htm I would *almost* set up a chiller for these guys... I was house shopping today because I am at 14 tanks and I am running out of room. Which is more expensive, moving or therapy??? Hope all are having a great weekend, David
Toirtis
Lumpsuckers are cute. You can buy monkfish at the Lambda market on Centre. Ugliest fish are most of the fancy golds...followed closely by 'sweetheart jellybean/parrot' cichlids.
skinless
hagfish...they remind me of the worm monsters in tremors.
