  1. Like this? http://www.thetropicaltank.co.uk/Fishindx/dpencilf.htm
  2. LOL well, it's not tanguay, but I changed it to Phaneuf destroying laraque.
  3. lol, I had to adjust the brightness a little, the tank lights are on, but with the bright color of the fish, the lights, and the substrate, it gets too bright to take. I was just messing around :P
  4. Do you think I would be able to put the gold barbs into the 52 gallon with the Demasoni and yellow labs? The Demasoni's size was the only thing I was worried about, but after a closer look, I don't think they could fit in the barbs mouth.
  5. I think it's my best picture so far, and guess what...it was by accident! lol:
  6. Awesome, the first tank is awesome, especially when you have a kick @$$ site like this to learn stuff from lol. I used vinegar and water, and a carpenters knife (blade) to get all the hard stuff off. Good luck.
  7. That leak sucks, a similar thing happened to a guy out in provost here, but it was with his bathroom, he pulled apart the walls, found that nothing was sealed properly and everything was out of proportion, so he was trying to get the contactors to come back and do it properly which of course failed. But he was recomended to send an email to that holmes on homes guy who was touring cross Canada at the time, they emailed him back and said he was within the top 12 in Canada that could receive help from the holmes guy. True story lol.
  8. Ah that sucks, what is with the dying lately?? Hopefully the rest of May only brings flowers, not more fishy deaths lol....
  9. I know how you feel, it sucks incredibly hard.
  10. Very nice! The overall look of it is actually very eye pleasing. How much did you spend on this? I think I spent like 12.00 on mine because I had all the wood in the shed lol. By the way, I really like your solution to the weight on the screws, very smart idea I'm sure that will work awesome.
  11. If another petstore was to open in Barrhead, dog food would be a MUST, and cat food, everyone and their babies have a dog to themselves in that town, not to mention all the old ladies and their cats.
  12. I used acrylic as well. Two coat looks awesome.
  13. There should be a little key lookin' thing on the top somewhere, just pump it up and down alot then start her up.
  14. heh, it would be in barrhead. It would be great to open a store up somewhere like Camrose where there is enough traffic. Barrhead has an alright population, but it is fairly close to edmonton, so unless you could manage a way to get great deals on everything in your store, I doubt we would get many people. Dare to dream.
  15. I am interested to see what happens here, if everything goes well, I might use the same route, I am planning on spraying raid in my room for these pesky spiders sneaking in now that the weather has turned.
  16. My dad and I have tossed this idea around actually. We were going to call in C-R pets ( his name is cliff, mine is ryan, C-R lol). We will see what happens, I doubt anything will happen, it takes alot of money to open a store.
  17. Cool plans. Will need some pictures after you are completed. There are definately some ingenious plans out there, I wish I would have done more planning for mine lol. Good luck with the rest of the build.
  18. Nasty, 20-30 gallons would suck! When I did my first filter maintenance on the fluval 304 canister, I didn't have a clue how to work it, so I went ahead and clicked the clamps off the lid, and wouldn't you know it, I had a waterfall of water coming out of the filter for about 3 minutes until I figured out I had to move the flow control down LOL. This was in my bedroom with carpet floors, and in my DIY stand cupboard, some water under my bed, some behind the stand. Fortunately I opened the windows and got some fans aimed at the location, along with a sh** load of drenched towels, which cleaned the water up and dried the carpet up pretty quick. Needless to say, I learnt a lesson the hardway.
  19. I have so many spares it is ridiculous, I could actually afford to drop all my classes right now lol, 118 credits last semester :P
  20. Sorry for the late reply, I was at school :|. Thanks for the attempt lol.
  21. Thanks for the support. I have cooled off, I wrote this right after it all happened, I am still steamed, but I will get over it. I think it helped that I cleaned the sand really good to get all the crap out and did some big water changes, which was a security thing for me, hopefully it pays off. To top it all off, my yellow labs are finally starting to come around and aren't hiding now, the biggest one is even showing off his beautiful black stripe on his dorsal Where there is tragedy, good prevails. I guess.
  22. Ah, I won't 'give up' I will sit and wallow through this problem for a couple of weeks, then something will happen, I will feel better about it, and by that time I will have forgotten about what happened, and I have 6 fish STILL alive.
  23. I am evidentally not fit to care for fish, I just lost another demasoni to bloat, there is nothing I can do to prevent the spread of it, I have 0 hospitals, 0 meds to take care of the disease, nothing to do. I don't know what to do, Im starting to feel poopy about killing all these fish. If anyone is near the area, and would like to pick up the fish that are left, I would be appreciative. Poor guys, sorry for the terrible rant. Ryan.
  24. lol those eyes are huge! Cool little guy, congrats!
  25. I love that there is a hole in the stump, is it part of it hollow? That would make for an excellent place to hide, great tank!
