  1. Leave the bristle worms they good to have the crab I would "rock" him and feed him to the fish the aptasia I use a syringe full of vinegar and zap em....don't let them get outta hand I had over a 1000 of them and took a filefish 6 months to clean it all up. The white inch worms worries me the most of all could be flatworms can you get a pic of them?
  2. There is that one platform in Banff (think it's the C&B ) you can lay down with you face against the water and see tons of what look like mollies or some sort of mosquito fish
  3. www.canreef.com www.reefcentral.com

  9. When I had a bubbler I found the cories would use it as a propellent and launch themselves into the lid......I'm guessing they are finding a hole and are going carpet surfing
  10. When you 30" do you mean deep? or long? if it is deep you need more than 150W... 250W would be ok 400W would prolly be the best on a tank that deep
  11. Quarantine 1st not for the risk of spreading for the risk of dying and nuking the whole tank....When they die they release toxins..... Mix some food in garlic I wouldn't copper yet see if the spots spread not all white spots are ick could be a little stressed if he is new to the tank. If they spread/grow start some copper treatments.
  12. I use the easyblade attachement on my magfloat the only way to clean glass will scrap off coraline algae like nothing and does no damage.Freshwater algae comes off unbelievable http://www.easybladeusa.com/
  13. Don't get there very often but I have never had a problem
  14. If your only worried about the fish I think they will be fine....tangs get stressed easily, if you have a mandrian he maybe a gonner unless he eats frozen
  15. You can get some cheap generators for under $500. I have a more expensive one I use for camping that I could use to power all my tanks, fridge, freezer, tv and a few lights if neadby BBQ, campstove, fireplace I'm ready for long power outage. I read of someguys use paint stirrers and coathangers on cordless drills to oxgenate the water in a long power outage
  16. Buckets and rubbermaids set up and small tank 55G or so and move 1/2 to 2/3 of the water into and house the fish in it. Then set up the bigger tank I find SW don't like to be moved you will go through cycles and die offs the fish maybe ok but corals usually take a beatin. If you can sell or give your corals to other members to hold for you till you get everything back up and restablished. I had friends move they just sold off all the livestock rather then them dieing and being worthless.....cause you have other thing on your mind moving....and just rebought things later made life simpler
  17. You can buy liquid garlic at the fish stores
  18. bah I had a zebra that would hang a lickin on it
  19. That is a nice healthy Trumpet coral Caulastrea curvata sometimes mixed in the same name a Candy Cane Caulastrea furcata The tissue receading back towards the head off the stem it is probably stretching towards the light and pulling it back. MA probably had them under MH lights but T5 HO should be enough. Otherwise the pics you posed it looks fine I wouldn't worry
  20. Sometimes if you change stuff around changing the light, height, flow they get grouchy and wanna close up. If the circle is starting to pinch together and the mouth is getting oval it is going to split and you will have 2 heads. I feed mine once in a while with a turkey baster I blast them with cyclopleeze or with reef bugs once they get a taste the sweepers will come out....but I have gone months maybe even years without noticing a sweeper
  21. Not sure on the aqua but I know my caustic deliveries are thru the roof......but it's like that every spring
  22. The sharks were gone about 2 weeks ago and they were pumping out some water when I was there all that was left was a big majestic angel
