  4. I have the Fluval Ebi...and I've been keeping/breeding Crystal Black/Red, Golden Bee, Rili and Orange shrimp in it! It's the perfect little size. no fish in with my shrimp 'cause they're so much nicer looking without predators in the mix.

    Greetings

Welcome to the forum Mark and also back to the hobby! You're going to really enjoy this go round!
  6. Culling can happen at any stage...you can give it a chance...or just cull it now...just remember you have to feed them all if you keep 'em all! Congrats btw!
  7. hahaha...i'll let you pay me to take it. Thanks FCG! LOL
  8. I found about $3 in nickels and dimes this past few days during my move! lol I`m off to a great start eh?
  9. VERY NICE!! Thanks for sharing!
  10. Congrats!! If you want her to hold stress free...move her to a tank of her own, but that 10G cube isn't totally ideal, IMO. The longer she holds, the larger the soft part of her "chin" will become...and you'll be able to see the fry chillin' in her mouth when she faces you...it's cool. As I recall Frontosa eggs are large...so if you go the tumbler route, you'll be able to get a good view of their progress.
  11. Maybe they got stressed. They'll breed again...and again...and again.
  12. I've seen them get thrown from cherries sometimes.
  13. I really like how you added the pics when you scroll over the plant name! Great job!!
  14. My CBS are breeding in Calgary tap water...I just don't do a lot of water changes.
  15. it's the little things in life that make it wonderful eh?!
  16. Sounds like the tank may need to mature some more...but in the mean time... Do you have an airstone in the tank? Surface agitation? Do you turn off the CO2 at night?
  17. welcome to the forum Brad! there certainly are a lot of rift lake fans here! Post some pics when you`ve got it all set up!
  18. I've bought used SW setups with great success. I would prefer to do it new, from scratch though next time.
