looks good. You gonna put more plants in there? A bunch of dwarf sagittaria in the foreground might look pretty good and they are pretty low maintenance plants. I dont think I have ever seen hygro leaves grow out again but could be wrong. Also, just a note. The Fluval Ebi/Flora have that 3D background in there that has had issues for some people where the silicon that is used to attach it to the glass lets go from the foam. Since its very buoyant it can potentially knock the glass top off. Not saying it will happen but just making you aware of the potential.

Sorry.. completely got sidetracked after taking these pics 20130103 got these guys from Francos topside underbelly comparison with the ones I got from Pisces back in November on the left. 20130113 got some good side by side shots of the 2 different ones in my tank while they were feeding. Might be the same ones dueling in my video.

20130130 - been fighting algae growth by playing with the amount of time the lights are on. Seems to be reducing the various forms. Endlers have gone craaazy while the CRS dont seem to be doing much of anything.

Malaysian trumpet snails... depending on context, MTS can also refer to multiple tanks syndrome which most of the members on this forum have...

cool... work on gettin pics of the 2 headed planaria after your experiment! Anyone has any of this panacur / Safe guard in Calgary? I have been fighting these stupid flat ramshorn snails in one of my planted tanks for a year and cant seem to get rid of them completely using cupramine dosing but the MTS population is completely gone. Wonder if it would be the final salvo in my war.

Howdy and welcome to the forum. Nice stand. That rock on the right almost looks like the chunk of live rock I have in my salt water tank. I have used nothing but canisters but think they kick butt. I like that they are hidden away in the stand and are virtually silent when the stand doors are closed. I would have been driven nuts by the sound of trickling water of a HOB not to mention having to deal with the urge to go to the washroom upon hearing the slight splashing noises....

between 6mths and a year... depends on how quickly they can be sexed correctly. personally I always found it too hard to sex them accurately at 6 months.
