  2. Ill join the club, I fail quite a bit. It usually takes me a few tries (sometimes years) before I can breed a fish with great success. Mine didn't do anything until I put them into a 180g 6 ft tank, although a friend had his do it in a 6ft 120g.

  18. Have you tried snails? Even though they can considered pests, Malaysian trumpet snails will eat algeas and left over foods while not adding to the overall bioload
  19. I may just wait till the young are free swimming and move the tube then, maybe while the male is out foraging. Maybe I'll update once I make my decision.
  20. I have finally gotten back into the shrimp thing!! My brother is in the process of moving, and while tearing down his tank we discovered and thriving community of red cherry shrimps living in his plants. Since he was tearing down his tank, I decided to catch as many as I could and put them into my fry tank.Things were going really well until I got peacock gudgeons on Sunday. Don't get me wrong, the peacock gudgeons went into a different tank, they arent fry after all! Or so I thought, on Monday they decided to breed. With this species, the male raises the eggs/young, which means I have to move him, his cave and his eggs as a package into a fry tank... and the only fry tank I own has shrimp in it now!! Here is my question to you invert folks, do you thinks its safe to put the two species together. His mouth is very small!!
  21. Wow Jay! Those fish look awesome!! Are they wild caughts or tank bred? Thanks for sharing the pics!
  22. lol selling the pelt before you shoot the bear? holding eggs is the first step of many before you can rehome fry. Congrats on the spawn.
