    hi

:welcome: First bit of advice. Buy the largest tank you can fit in the space available. The larger the tank the more forgiving.
  2. Excellent to deal with, fantastic equipment.

  3. The secret is: Drum roll please. One of each sex. And water -roll-

  12. I would like to see it come back. I found the sections very informative, as to who had fish i was looking for, the best and worst prices in and out of town. Yes some of the reviews could get quite nasty, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. At the end of the day I can see that having a Vendor review is better than NOT.
  13. :welcome: Congrats on finding golds so quickly
  14. Where would be the best place to look for Ballasts?
  15. Why the GST on the tank, but not the other equipment from Golds?
  16. Thanks, sorry we kept you so long. looking forward to your next visit, you can take some of those jags home with you next time.
  17. Gets large, can be very aggressive, otherwise a good looking fish. http://www.cichlid-forum.com/profiles/species.php?id=503 see link for more info
  18. - how fast do they grow? They are now in the 3-4" range but are about 2-2.5" thick now at 7-8 months old. - at what size do they stop tolerating others? They haven't started an all out war yet, but about every 3 days i will find one of the smaller fish has been eaten. - at what size do they pair off? I expect them to start pairing off in the next few months. - is it only as a full grown pair that the male will harm the female or does that happen at a smaller size? I have found that the female I have gives as good as she gets, but when he gets to aggressive she has a hiddy hole that he can't get into. to hide in. - are heaters and powerheads safe for long? I bought a guard for the heater, he will sometimes pull it off the glass but hasn't damaged it yet. and i don't use a powerhead in that tank. - how do you gravel vac with a large fish that wants to take your hand off? first i don't recomend Gravel with Jags, when we bought the pair they were in a 28gal tank with gravel and he would shift all of it to one side of the tank, very forcefully i might add, i was worried he would break the glass. They now reside in a 40 gal wide tank(20 ½” H x 36” L x 18” D). About 2" of sand a few large pieces of slate and a 10" flower pot on its side. A fluval 404 for the filter and a 12 " air stone, They like to play in the bubbles. As far as cleaning mostly they stay away but i use a long handled glass brush. Basically, I wondering what to expect if I put 6 (~3") in a 90g. I think 6 is a good number for at least 6 months or so in that size tank. As far as price, why don't you come and see them and we can discus what you think they are worth, i think you will find that we can come to some kind of aggreement.
