  1. Wow this is looking great. I really like the arrangement with the driftwood and plants in between. Not much a fan of the elastics on the moss but that is temporary. Why not try some of that glue? Did you setup the co2 tank? How do you like that Coralife fixture? Is it T5HO? Can you take an over image with the light and stand?
  2. Welcome to the site! :welcome:
  3. My fish seem to delight in the taste of Pogostemon helferi.
  4. That sucks. They will breed again though. :shifty: I always let my bucket sit for a bit before dumping it out. I also dump it slowly to make sure no guppy fry/shrimp are in there. you can also attach a large fish net to the end of your siphon when vacuuming. Then inspect the net.
  5. Take them out every so often as BettaFishMommy said and roll them around so that they stay in the nice ball shape.
  6. That is strange because I have bought it from www.aquariumfertilizers.com (USA) several times in the 1 lbs bags and never had a customs problem. These are dry ferts too.
  7. Crown rot fungus? Unless the crown was buried too deep. What are using for substrate. maybe it is anaerobic, but then again your roots would be brown and decaying to.
  8. Thanks for the responses and suggestions. I want to grow some plants emerse but the other problem is that my tank is 24" tall with a plastic rim. I currently use a glass on the top with a cut away in the back for the filters and wires. I guess one option would be to lower the water level. But it would be nice to just raise the lights into a canopy and have a glass cover in the canopy for protection. New question: Has anyone had luck raising the T8/T12 lights about 6 - 10 inches up on a 24" high tank? I just don't think the plants at the bottom would get enough light intensity. My lights are currently sitting on the rim/glass top.
  9. If I had an open top aquarium, do I need to cover my lighting with glass to prevent water damage and humidity? I know the stores sell plastic covers for the lights. I'm referring to T8 lights here. I'm just wondering what other people have done. Thanks
  10. Can you take a picture of the flower and post it? It would be interesting to see. My Anubis have never flowered before.
  11. Did you overdose on Excel or follow the instructions on the bottle?
