  1. You can always use photobucket and post as many pics as this forum can handle. very cute betta. im scared if i start on them again it will become an addiction.
  2. Pygocentrus piraya about 10" and now i have 5x pygo natteri. 1 x pygo cariba and now the 1x pygo piraya soon i will have the last pygo ternetzi
  3. personally i use the foams on the outside like stock config but put bio balls and rings in the bottom 2 trays then filter floss in the top basket instead of their proprietary flossing pad which is a lot more money
  4. Thanks harold. just trying to keep it fresh in your mind lol want them bad..
  5. Hey harold, just wondering when pygocentrus ternetzi and pygo piraya will become available? im keeping my wallet ready for when i get a msg for them thanks
  6. http://albertaaquatica.com/index.php?showtopic=33999&hl=doc_polit&fromsearch=1 Quality stand that looks really good and basically a step by step
  7. You can buy some good looking one side good plywood and paint it man. if you have a circular saw and any skills what so ever it will turn out just as nice as a store bought stand. i would just buy 1/4" ply because its not for structural, just visual. at the end of the day its a lot uglier to have water all over the floor haha
  8. Your going to be better off buying $30 in 2x4s and building one that isnt a "maybe it will hold" situation. When it comes to something like a fish tank it baffles me how people take these needless risks..
  9. We have 2 hydors. 200 and a 300 watt, both are excellent products and i would buy more
  10. Doesn't make sense to this noob but just for reference, what's the temp like?
  11. Only once. Use the ge1 silicone. White tube, blue and black label. Specifically get one without any mildew inhibiters or there could problems, especially with smaller fish potentially. Make very sure that you clean the surface of the glass very thoroughly and even use a little bit of sand paper and rubbing alcohol/nail polish remover. After you let it dry 2 days then clean the silicone with warm water and take that out, then fill the tank half way and let sit over 24 hours to check for leaks. The next day if no problems, fill it all the way and leave it another 24h. If it holds then throw fish in I've sealed my 140, 180 and a few smaller tanks with all being a success. Good luck
  12. Very impressed and makes me want to do something like that to get away from the same old boring tanks lol
  13. I would just get a rubber maid or 2 over bags. Put all the fish in and keep it aerated until the minute you go to leave. Have the fish in the tub with no decorations while you move the tub so the fish dont hit anything/get crushed while sloshing around. Make very sure to get the temp equalized between the fish in the tub and the tank before you put the fish back into the tank because after 4 hours it will have dropped significantly. I personally have a cheap walmart power inverter for my car that I use for running an air bubbler on trips with fish. you could run a small heater also if you get a decent one. I would take all of the water out of the tanks before moving them because any water in a tank while moving it is just likely to damage the tank. Good luck with the move. We just moved 9 tanks last weekend but only to about 6-7 blocks away lol
  14. I wished that I had some room for them in one of my tanks every time thereso an update on this thread lol

  19. good to hear it worked out as well as it did.. good thing you werent gone for a weekend or something when it happened.. we have rubbermaids in the house for specifically that reason lol. 9 tanks running on average and none of them are new tanks haha
