If they are not leaking and obviously they're not, then it is just normal evaporation. Colder weather lately means drier air and more air movement from your furnace coming on more often.

I have only used the HOB types. Have considered trying a canister though.

Sorry to hear you are leaving the hobby completely. I would still try and post your stuff here, even if you only sell part of it, it's still better than trashing the whole works.

I would think that trying to move it could be a little tricky also. They are cool looking though.

I still feel safer supporting the whole bottom. One weak defect in the glass and it's all over. Literally.

Nice job. Do you find any temp. fluctuations on your upper tanks? My basement changes constantly.

I'm not sure, but check the lable. Alot of products will warn you on the lable about freezing or excessive heat.
