  1. Saw some of those in the, lack of a better term "swamp", of our resort when we were in the Mayan last Spring. A couple beautiful specimens you have there.
  2. Hoping it's before the 5th or after the 15th.....please oh please let it be before the 5th and after the 15th
  3. I got a bag of 3 of the so called "sunburst" peacock. Male is colored up.....sort of and female has held (will let her spit in the tank till I am more convinced in what they are) and the 3rd one doesn't resemble a peacock at all, looks like a pinky kind of lab........ My fault in the end, they were cheap and not even on my list
  4. Malawi's.....lots of Malawi's, go figure. I was even caught bidding against the Mrs lol, that was sorted out pretty quick
  5. I'm interested in some f your fish as I'm building up a tank. I wouldn't be able to take them all and, unfortunately, have no yellow labs to trade. I would pay some money for them though. Am currently out of town but fly back tomorrow. I live in Morinville but work on the base so may be close to you?? Please let me know and thanks.

  6. Unfortunately I am still out of country and will be unavailable for the auction yet again. Hope you all enjoy! Stacey
  7. Personally, I would take a part of someone's canister filter and squeeze it out in your own, that should jump start the whole cycling process. JMO Stacey
  8. Have fun with the Tropheus Greg, we'll be waiting to see what they look like when the get older Stacey
  9. If they got stuck watching "Barney" or something then there could be definite issues LOL Stacey
  10. I have an FX5 on my 90 with way too many fish. I have had it for a couple of years now and only opened it once (to squeeze one of the rings to `jump start`another tank). It has never caused me any problem and when I set up my 130`s I will get a couple more (smiles as he`s lookin`for a smokin`deal) Stacey
  11. Great job Deborah, it looks fantastic. From the pics the deck planks look open to the water and the only concern I would have would be the wood preservative in the planks leaching into the water. I know you can't burn that stuff as it is very toxic. I'm sure you thought of this and I'm only bringing this up as a precaution. I'll have to stop in some day to see it. Stacey
  12. I saw a flyer for Big Als in the Edmonton Sun yesterday or the day before and it was a generic Big Als flyer so it looks like the sales are similar in all locations. Stacey
  13. I may be asking for trouble but for the 2 years I've been in Alberta now I have only rinsed out 1 of the sponges in my FX5 to jump start the cycle for nother tank. When I change the water I leave the filter on until the water line drops below the filter so I can see how much outflow there is. I have no issues with any fish but am thinking of a good cleaning real soon Stacey
  14. Personally not a fan of the Betta but can surely appreciate the care it takes to raise such a beautiful specimen and the camera man to bring it to the forefront.....well done! Stacey
  15. I'll check it out Craig, I was just at Big Al's on Saturday...a little disappointed though. Maybe I'm just used to the size and selection of all the other ones. I'm supposed to be in Gagetown flying for 5-6 weeks on course come mid July. I'll look you up, it would be great to see some of your fish. Stacey
  16. Sweet! I'm here for another week or two so will check these out. Thanks all, Stacey
  17. I'll be in the Montreal area for a few weeks and was wondering if anyone knows where the "hot spots" are? Thanks, Stacey
  18. Amazing pic Patrick, I can see why you won. Stacey
  19. Thanks, Gio said he won 3rd.....sweet! Stacey
  20. I would have to say that the Green Terror is mine, unless there was more than one. Currently in Montreal so thanks go out to Giovanni for taking him to the show for me. Stacey
  21. When I moved from N.S. to Edmonton I had a friend "babysit" for a few weeks until I got to Edmonton, got set up then he shipped the fish out. I had no losses and things couldn't have worked out better. Keep in mind that I had 3 large tanks of fish and sold the ones that I found more readily available (Tangs and Malawians) but shipped the large Clown Loaches and some of the larger South/Central Americans. Good luck with the move. Stacey
  22. I hope you're planning to bring a fish or a few to the Show in May Patrick Stacey
