Bandi
He is full grown at 5 inches, and the boss of my tank. Very aggressive but doesn't inflict injury thank goodness. The best I can determin is he is a male, melanochromis Interuptus. Any help please.
Vallisneria
Looks like a Melanochromis cyaneorhabdos to me. Doesn't really look like like an Interruptus. Those are much dark through the body, less even dark/light horizontal stripes.
Doc_Polit
I tend to agree with Valisneria. Cyaneorhabdos (also known as Maingano).
jvision
I'm thinking it's not M cyaneorhabdos. I have never seen one w. vertical barring, even when stressed. It looks like what this guy calls a Msobo (but I don't think it really is what he says it is... look up Msobo, and you'll see why). Maybe a hybrid of the two?
