Evolution
Keep the tank bottom bare, feed 5 times a day and change 75% of the water once a day. Be it, this all depends on the amount of fry to gallons of water.
fishclubgirl
Most domestic angels have poor parenting skills so you might be better to pull the eggs. Cleanliness and warmth are the key. Keep it bare bottom and add an antifungal. Temp s/b 80 or so. Once the fry are free swimming, start BBS and remove any uneaten food too. Good luck!!! Baby angels are so cute!!
angie
sadly the eggs were not fertilized i think it could have something to do with the parasite the male angel had it was a type of worm and im starting to think they may have made him sterile luckly i have another angel that has bred with the female so i took the sterile male out and put this one in guess ill see what happens

jvision
I too am wondering what will come when my Marble/Gold angels hatch. I'm guessing there will be quite the mix. I would probably call them all marble unless they have the proper Koi hat.

Gold and marble mix produces..gold..marble and marbles with gold I have been spawning angels for many years and this is what I have been getting. Gold and koi will produce a mix of marble/gold and some weaker colored koi. they lack the intense coloring of the true koi.
Bandi
Keep the tank bottom bare, feed 5 times a day and change 75% of the water once a day. Be it, this all depends on the amount of fry to gallons of water. 75% water change. Hmm. Fry per gallon? Hmmm. Just trying to figure out a little problem I am having. How many fry per gallon is too much? I thought a 75% water was too much and would shock frigile little babies.

DanGofCalgary
i need some anti fungal there eating the eggs but laying every week so im gonna separate them if anyone has any please let me know I've used methylen blue succesfully for years with Angel eggs. Also, I heard a really neat idea on this forum I believe. Add some shrimp to the egg tank. Supposedly the shrimp will eat the fungus but not the eggs. I have never tried it, but that sounds kind of neat. Typically new angel parents will eat the eggs once or twice till they get it right, but I always liked to seperate out a spawn so I could be sure of success. good luck! fishclubgirl
There's actually some people who ship cory eggs with shrimp to preven fungus. Myself, am not a methylene blue fan as I'm too much of a clutz and end up being a "blue person". However, I do like Maroxy and have 2 pair of breeding angels so I must be doing something right(not sure what though).
dan11
When my angels breed, I use Hydrogen Peroxide, it works great. I use 1mL per gallon, every 12 hours, so in 5 gallon tnak, they get 10mL of Hydrogen Peroxide per day. Good luck!!
