dunl
And I'm not an angelfish fan, but I thought I'd throw this up here for discussion: http://reddeer.kijiji.ca/c-pets-other-Rare-Philipine-Blue-Angelfish-W0QQAdIdZ249046018 Anyone seen these before? Jaykit
Pretty sure howard(fairdeal) on the site here sells a variety like these. They are great looking fish.
GIJester
I have 2 of them right now in my tank - only 4" tall of so now, but $90 being asked is a bit high.. I think I got mine for $13 each at 1.5" tall... but they are beautiful
Jayba
I guess if you found a person who normally just shopped at Petsmart or something like that, they may pay it. 5 inches is pretty big. Most men would say it's at least 6 LOL!:smokey:
jvision
I'm not completely certain, but I'm pretty sure Harold is the only one who's brought these in - I don't think they're on any stores import lists (I could be wrong). I paid $10ea for dime-size fish a few months ago.
rayfong
Big Al's Edmonton has them in, I believe they are silver ghost about toonie size for $18.99 I think. But that is the only place I've seen them besides from Harold, and Harold has a bigger selection.
dunl
Excellent, all good to know. They're something I hadn't seen since last time I was around, so I thought I'd drop a line in here and figured someone would be in the know about them. fishclubgirl
Not sure if they're the same but April in Vancouver has had them and I got mine from Tntaquatica. Now if only they would pair off!!!
angel al
From what I've been told Harold, has one of the best selections of these fish in North America right now.
fairdeal
From what I understand the Philippine blue angel varieties are more readily available in the U.S. but the problem is actually getting them. Most breeders down there are keeping only a few types so you have to fish around (pun intended) to locate the type you are interested in and then try and talk them into shipping to Canada as most don't want to be bothered with such a small market. In Canada there are very few breeders indeed and getting quantities and quality combined is extremely difficult. I have sourced these angels from a top notch local breeder and the few varieties he doesn't have now he will have in the next few months so all types will then be available.
