skinless
75g for a solo m midas. getting tired of emp400 duo. opinions please; is fx5 overkill? what eheim model would be good for this setup? pro3 is not an option lol. should the emps remain also? love the biowheels
seajays
I have a XP3 on my 65 gal. and 2-XP3 on my 125 gal. Works great for me.
Medicdude
I would say a little overkill. I would go with an XP3 or a Fluval 494 as they both move about the same amount of water (340 GPH vs 350 GPH)
Doc_Polit
If you are thinking Eheim, go with the Classic 2215 or 2217. Nice, reliable filters despite the $$. Edited August 13, 2006 by Doc_Polit
finaddict
I agrree, go with an eheim, last forever, reliable and silent. I have the eheim pro 2217 on my 90g cichlid tank and love it. Eheim's r the absolute best.IMO

rudy
I would keep your hang ons in my opinion. Canisters have great biofiltration, however with messy neos the hang ons are easier to maintain and clean.
Toirtis
I agree with all the above and will add a Cascade 1200 or 1500...pretty decent little filters for the money. My first choice would be the Eheim 2217, followed by the Filstar XP3, then the Cascade1200/1500, with the Fluval 405 lastly.
skinless
done and done. hey again, thanks for the advice. new 2217 good to go and am keeping an emp on the other half. ...good reason to check out NC in the next couple of days. for sure

Nice fish
