  1. ebay you can get a coralife turbotwist 3x for 60.00 brand new in the box. replacement bulbs are only about 10.00 each from the same place. it should get rid of your alge. just curious, how old are your lights? (bulbs) thats often the culprit.

  11. if you need tips on photography, ask patrick. just look at the quality of his pics in the freshwater pic section. he is the king!
  12. exactly what i would do. use the smaller rubbermaids and run a powerbar off the converter to run multiple pumps and airstones. thats really not a long time in the bins, especially with an airstone.i would 86 the common readily available fish too, no sense in overstocking the bins. good luck to ya, hope ya have no casualties.
  13. if all else fails, ask patrick. his pics speak for themselves. he is the fish-pic king

  20. its not the camera that takes a great pic, its the photographer. ALLWAYS turn the flash off and play with the settings, especially the shutter-speed setting. some of the best pics i've seen were taken with a 'wallmart special'. also try taking pics at a slight offset, not directly at the glass, this will reduce if not eliminate reflections. hope this helps
  21. does anyone know for sure how the city water quality is? with the spring run-off and all?
  22. you can find that at almost ANY fish store. i used it before and the color in my fish dissapered. thier is ALOT better quality of food then that stuff
  23. for rocks and slate, ALLWAYS landscaping supply stores. burnco and canar are as good as they get.
