  1. Welcome back. Jayba is right!! MTS RULES!!
  2. Thanks! I agree, although it seems like an addiction. Everything all set up and doing well? Fishes healthy, happy, doing well? Then starts the "itch", what if I had a tank with x? or y? And then pretty soon, you just have to give it a try, and well, the cycle starts all over again. It is only an addiction if you cross 100 tanks. Under 100 tanks, it is MTS of which all of us here are infected and carriers of same !!! :smokey: BTW asking if I have 99 tanks is considered rude -roll-
  3. Welcome aboard!! More tanks more bettah!!!
  4. Welcome aboard! MTS!! You'll find yourself with more convicts than you can handle!
  5. Welcome aboard.. Ever thought of a built-in in the basement since you're starting from scratch? MTS is a good thing!
  6. Welcome aboard! :welcome:
  7. Welcome aboard :welcome:
  8. My first thought was that if it was a new roof, there is a lot of runoff of chemicals etc. If an old roof, alot of bird poop and rotting junk in the gutters. My rainbarrels are usually full of algae for some reason. Just a thought.
  9. Welcome aboard! Pics would be nice!!
  10. Looks like Giant Danios to me but I defer to the pros in the site
  11. Welcome aboard! You've come to the right place for info. Lots of info and lots of good guys to turn to for info.
  12. Welcome aboard! Any pics of tanks?
  13. Welcome aboard! Lots of info here.
  14. I split the output/return into two and one goes to tank and other with a valve goes back into the sump. You then adjust the valve return to sump side until you have a flow to the tank side to your satisfaction. output at 400gal at zero rise may not be enough but I leave that to the pros here to advise. Cheers
  15. Welcome aboard. Lots of good info. Just have to look around and ask.
  16. Personally I am a Rena fan and would run an XP3 with a Aquaclear on the side. As you see, I am also a fan of overfiltration!! Most of the cannisters such as Eheim are great. The only thing is cost and personal preference.
  17. Welcome aboard. Have you done regular water changes and do buy yourselves a good test kit for the first 6 months of your new tank until you get a feel for it and how fast the toxins are building up. Hope the fish do well.
