Standard plywood is just fine again. with any type of structure holding back water bracing is very important...both types of woods will do the same job.

don't even need marine. standard plywood. get pond liner and use that. imo

Hello and welcome, nice to see another planted tank person.

5lb paintball? that'd be a large canister for that. does the cylinder have a standard cga320 fitting or no? depending you might need something like this: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51zPROkcktL._SX425_.jpg

If someone has an issue with snails over-taking a tank 99.9% of the time is due to excess food within the tank....the tank being overfed. If you have those issues, feed less. Snails are a very important part in nature and imo that is what we're recreating is a slice of nature in a living room. As long as they don't get out of hand, do nothing. If you have greater numbers simply reduce tank feeding.

got and old filter...will try this today and see Confirmed at a store in Calgary. Brought in an old not working and got a AC HOB new in box equivalent size. No tax, nada. There is a small form, name, e-mail, ph etc and that is that. I gave them the main body and power supply, no tubing, hoses or clamps, no media cage, no impeller. There was a big sign posted on the wall stating this promo...it's legit.
