patrick
I use NSL Grow for all my fry. How long should I keep them on this before I switch to regular pellets?
RD.
I would recommend switching them over to a larger pellet as soon as they can comfortably fit them in their mouths. If you would prefer to keep the juvies on a higher protein/fat diet than the regular Cichlid formula, feed the TherA formula, or the Surface Feeder formula. fairdeal
I find that the fry are at least 1 1/4 to 1 1/2" anyway by the time that they can start swallowing the 1MM pellets comfortably. Just a tip - a little Grow goes a long way. You have to experiment a bit to make sure you are not overfeeding.
Noodles
What size do the fish need to be to start eating NLS Grow?
Vallisneria
I feed all my fry NLS grow straight from the start. If they are too small to eat the pellets, I crush the NLS grow into a powder.
Ruadh
I feed all my fry NLS grow straight from the start. If they are too small to eat the pellets, I crush the NLS grow into a powder. A cheap pepper grinder works really well to grind up the pellets. Rick Edited July 14, 2008 by Ruadh

Josh H
I find that in the case of the fry I have been raising (Astatotilapia latifasciata). Have done extremely well on a combination of Baby Brine shrimp and NLS .5mm Grow formula.
punman
I agree with the above post as well. Another easy method for crushing NLS is to put some in a Ziploc bag and go over it with a rolling pin.
balikiss
Havn't tried the grow formula, but i crush up my NLS between two spoons. This batch of fry raised on NLS is about 4 times bigger than the first batch raised on other name brand products..
