nevchewy
Mods please feel free to move this if you do wish. I think Dean was right with this site needing just a general aquarium topic section, as this is fish related... but there is no other place that this post fits. I was just wondering if my soon to be wife and I are weird for naming all of our fish? Does anyone else name theirs? if so what are their names? here are a list of names that call my 90 gallon tank home: 2 rusty's names are Rusty and Charlie. Male Red zebra's name is Bruce and his females friends are Penelope and Fiona. we have 2 clown pleco's, Krusty and Bozo. Yellow labs are: Jack (dominant male), Lilo, Stitch, Fernando, Julie ( The holding female) And the name of all names - her fish PS. Acie's name is Rutherford. I haven't named the Saulosi's yet... but they will get theirs soon. are we the only weird people out there? nev

ABwildrose
my kids used to name the fish. Always something like Spot, Spotless, Stripey, Goldy, Snow White, etc. I always knew which one they were referring to. Our hamsters were Peaches, Brownie, Whitey and Blackie. My nephew got a hamster and named him Jesse...my kids rolled their eyes and said "what kind of a stupid name it that, he is tan."

Reza
We named our Jardini Arowana "Tsunami" (a year ago folks, before the disaster) because when he was 2.5" long and in a 10 gallon, all we could hear at night was him trying to jump out of the tank, "... splash, boink, splash..." He was sure making waves! ~Reza~

k9outfit
Ghengis Khan, Nero and Brutus are gone; Strider is my Red Empress (looked bland, turned out nice), Pete & Repete are 2 Electric Blues, Ielosubmarine and Zebigbos ("Yellow submarine" and "the big boss" for those who have never read Asterix) are my Perlmutts, Semenko (big bruiser Labeotropheus), Silk, Althalus, Godzilla, Quasimodo (frontosa)... but most of them don't have names. Only the ones that stand out in the crowd, and the name suits.
