Mighty Prawn
The damn fish was doing well, too. He was swimming around happily, and acting normally. 8 hours later he was floating dead, mouth wide open. So far, I have 5 fish I got from Petsmart that have died. -Hideo
oscarfan
yah petsmart is definitely not the place to buy fish. in fact, it's a good idea to avoid any LFS and just go straight to the specialists. sorry to hear about that man. jvision
I'm always leary of buying fish from stores that have centralize filtration. There are a few smaller LFSs - like Nature's Corner - that individually filter each tank. That way, if one tank is infected, you're not infecting every fish in the store! nyb440
Sorry to hear about the fish. Young oscars can be quite fragile. An oscar named Mayer, that's just terrible.... Mighty Prawn
Hahaha, my wife named him. I named our other Oscar who also passed away De La Hoya. And already have "Wilde" reserved for our next Oscar. -Hideo
